FAQ

Q. Where do I find a list of IBNS officers?
A. Contact details for IBNS Officers can be found in the List of Officers or on page 2 of the IBNS Journal, the quarterly publication of the IBNS.

Q. Where do I get an application form for membership?
A. Send an email to the IBNS Membership Secretary responsible for your region using the Contact tab in the menu bar above.

Q. Can I apply for life membership? Members Only.
A. Life Membership of the IBNS is a privilege available to IBNS members in good standing who have completed at least two years continuous membership as a regular, junior or family member. Applications for Life Membership should be sent, without payment, to general-secretary@theibns.org

Q. How can I run for the IBNS Board of Directors? Members Only.
A. There are two ways you can be nominated for the IBNS Board of Directors. Firstly, elections are run every two years (the next elections will be held in 2014) and you can be nominated as a candidate for the Board by a member in good standing (other than yourself) and have your nomination seconded by another member in good standing. (So, by making your desire known to two other members, they can propose and second your nomination.) Secondly, you can contact the President and tell him that you would like to volunteer for the Board. If a vacancy exists, or becomes available, the President can nominate a member in good standing to fill the vacancy. Nominations for 2014 have closed.

Q. I would like to help the IBNS. Whom do I contact?
A. Contact any IBNS Director or the Membership Secretary responsible for your region. (Contact details for IBNS Officers can be found in the List of Officers or on page 2 of the IBNS Journal, the quarterly publication of the IBNS.)

Q. I have an idea for improving the IBNS. Whom do I tell?
A. Contact the IBNS President, the First Vice President, or the Second Vice President. (Contact details for IBNS Officers can be found in the List of Officers or on page 2 of the IBNS Journal, the quarterly publication of the IBNS.)

Q. I have not received an auction catalogue, Membership Directory, or IBNS Journal for some time. To whom shall I send my enquiry regarding this issue?
A. Contact the Membership Secretary responsible for your region, or the General Secretary, via the Contact tab on the menu bar above and report the problem. (Contact details for IBNS Secretaries can also be found in the List of Officers or on page 2 of the IBNS Journal, the quarterly publication of the IBNS.)
