Banknote of 2015 Nominations Close

2015 has been a great year for new banknotes as there have been 18 notes nominated for the Banknote of 2015, however there is still time for you to nominate a note.

Then why not nominate it for the Banknote of 2015?

To nominate a note please email banknoteoftheyear@ibns.biz including your IBNS Membership number and if possible scans of the front and back of the note. Each IBNS Member may only nominate one note.

Banknote of 2015 Voting Details

Voting for the Banknote of 2015 will run from

  • 00:01 GMT on Monday 22nd February 2016 to
  • 23:59 GMT on Sunday 20th March 2016
Current IBNS members are eligible to cast their vote for the Banknote of 2015. Votes are cast on a preference basis :
  • 1st Preference will receive 3 points
  • 2nd Preference will receive 2 points
  • 3rd Preference will receive 1 point

The points each nomination receives will be tallied and the note that receives the most points will be selected as the Banknote of 2015. The announcement of the winner will be made at the IBNS Board meeting at the Valkenburg Paper Money Show in April 2016.

IBNS Board Elections

The IBNS will hold elections for its Officers and Directors in 2016. Members should expect to receive their ballot papers in the post towards the end of February. Any Members who do not receive their ballot papers by mid-March should contact the General Secretary (general-secretary@ibns.biz) for a replacement.

Please follow the instructions included with the ballot papers and ensure your votes are returned, in the envelope provided, by no later than Thursday May 5th, 2016.

All members are encouraged to vote and participate in choosing the future direction for the IBNS.
