|Belize $10 1st July 1983 QEII Lost or Stolen in Mail|
A Belize $10 banknote, 1st July 1983, QEII Serial No. P/4 775259 has gone missing in the mail. It was mailed from the main post office in St. Petersburg, Florida on May 27, 2014 by regular international air mail and sent to Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. If you are offered this banknote with the serial numbers given above, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
The IBNS Banknote of the Year award is an initiative of the IBNS to recognize an exceptional banknote issued each year.
IBNS Members can nominate a Banknote for the award by contacting the Banknote of the Year Co-Ordinator (email@example.com). Banknotes nominated must have been issued to the public (specimens and non-circulating currencies are inelligble) for the first time during the year of the award, and must have artistic merit and/or innovative security features. When nominating a note, please provide your reasons for nomination, and if possible, a scan of the front and back of the note. Nominations for the award will be accepted up to the 31st January of the following year. For full terms & conditions of the award, please see here.
Once nominations have closed, the winner will be decided by a vote of the IBNS, who will consider the artistic merit, design, use of colour, contrast, balance, and security features of each nomination. The winner will be announced at the the first IBNS Board meeting of the year.

KAZAKHSTAN THREE-PEATS AS BEST BANKNOTE In 2013
The International Bank Note Society (IBNS) announces that its voting membership has again selected the National Bank of Kazakhstan to receive its prestigious “Bank Note of the Year” Award for 2013. Facing stiff competition as always from the nearly 50 newly designed banknotes released worldwide in 2013, the 1000 Tenge denomination Kazakhstan note was followed in the closest voting ever by the Canada 10 Dollar and Fiji 5 Dollar currency bills.
